Saturday, June 7, 2025:  Get ready, Charleston—PRIDE IS COMING! Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 7, 2025, because Rainbow Pride of WV is bringing THE event of the summer back to Slack Plaza in downtown Charleston!

Prepare for a day bursting with color, community, and unapologetic joy! From the streets lined with parade magic to a festival filled with electrifying performances, fierce drag, live music, and endless dancing—this is where the party meets purpose!  SAGA will participate in the parade as well as sponsor a booth and will have items for sale and free gifts and information.

Wednesday, June 25, 2025:  Wedding Bells! 

SAGA and SJ@SJ are hosting a celebration of the 10th anniversary of Obergefell v. Hodges, a landmark decision of the United States Supreme Court which ruled that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples (June 26, 2015).

The community is invited to our celebration of the event which will include wedding cake, punch and other goodies along with community speakers, music, and a photographer who will be on hand to take a picture of your spouse, partner, or friends to preserve this memory. Donations to Daymark are suggested and will be much appreciated.

So, wear what you want and come to celebrate with us on Wednesday, June 25th in Hunter Hall, St. John's Episcopal Church on the corner of Quarrier St. and Leon Sullivan Way (enter from the parking lot ramp) from 5:00-7:00 PM, and be sure to invite your staff, friends, or congregation and/or clients to join us as your schedule permits!

6-6:30 PM – Guest Speakers

6:30 – 7 PM – Cake, Punch, Music, and Photography in the garden

Sunday, September 14, 2025:  The annual BIG GAY COOKOUT, sponsored by Rainbow PRIDE of West Virginia, will be held from 12 noon until 6 PM at Coonskin Park on Hoppy Shores Drive.  All are welcome!
